Accomplished within the historic setting of the Highland Park municipal complex, this project provides much needed improvements to the portions of the Public Safety facilities including replacement of the existing emergency communications and detainee processing and holding areas. The design is accomplished through select renovations and reconstruction totaling approximately twelve thousand square feet. Because operations shall continue within adjacent operating areas for both the Town Hall and the Department of Public Safety, phasing and consideration of secure temporary quarters for key DPS assets was integral to project planning.
The new work shall meddle with the Spanish Baroque styling of the original complex and the residential character of the surrounding area to the site.
